In a way, although all that is very interesting, I don't think that
identifying these possible mechanisms helps a performer a great deal.
(The discussion of Beethoven's 5th symphony is an exception, because
it's a genuine response by the musician in Minsky to a masterwork.)

I continue to maintain that you do best by concentrating on the
structure of the music itself, under the guidance of a teacher who can
identify and help you recognise the important parts of that structure.

That way you move further towards having the music sound natural, as
though it understands itself when you play it; just as whatever else you
do (or say) is at its most natural when it seems to understand itself as
you do it, or say it.
