Nanci, you can get a lot of advice on a list like this, some of it very good, some not. The problem is that none of us can hear you play, and our advice may be on target, or totally counter-productive.

Before making expensive chanes, which may or may not help, why don't you find a prominent player in your area and take a few lessons. Your problems could be caused equally by any combination of breathing/embouchure control/reed issues as well, or more so than equipment problems.

A good player can also check out your equipment.

Only after you focus in on a particular problem with a piece of equipment, should you go looking for a replacement.
