The grocery stores that I have checked don't seem to carry anything but
5%. Where do you find 10% vinegar?

Communication error, Gene.

What I meant to say was that I fill a glass 1/10 full of vinegar and
then I fill the glass the rest of the way with water. I had never
looked at the label on a bottle of vinegar before. Now I see that it
does say "5% pickling strength." I don't know what this means....
perhaps 5% acetic acid?

Anyway, by this math, I use only "1/2%" vinegar.

I have never needed more than this to dissolve the small amount of
'white stuff' that accumulates occasionally in my mouthpiece. Perhaps
this has to do with body chemistry (we're all different), but probably
it's because I GENTLY insert a piece of Kleenex into my mouthpiece after
each session --- which 'wicks up' most of the moisture and thereby
discourages bacterial growth --- and then I pull the Kleenex back out
(rather than pulling it all the way through the mouthpiece).

Cheers,
Bill
