Subj: [kl] Embouchure malaise

The following question was posed to me offline:

"I am writing to learn more about embouchure muscle problems. Do clarinets
suffer from "embouchure mailaise"? What should a clarinetist do about sore
muscles in the lower lip? (After 10 minutes of playing it feels like having
played two hours.) Are there specific treatments or exercises that will help
resolve the soreness? Do you know any specialists who diagnose and treat
embouchure muscle problems?"

The person who posed the question is named Bob. If any of you have insight
into his question and would be interested in offering your feedback, I'll in-
struct him to monitor the clarinet postings through the Woodwind.org site
for the above subject line.

Thanks,
Neil
