Erin,

Just how much were they offering and what kind of condition is it in?

Subject: [kl] unsure about model of clarinet

Hello out there. I was wondering if anyone could help
me out with something here. I've had a Buffet e-flat
clarinet in my possession for the last 8 years or so,
but it just seems to be collecting dust, and now I
want to sell it. However, I'm having great difficulty
finding out what model it is. I think it's an RC, but
it's hard to tell since the letters appear to be
somewhat "woven into" the bottom portion of the Buffet
logo. I've taken the instrument to a couple of music
stores, where I haven't received much information.
Based on the serial number (which is 386433), they've
been able to tell me that the e-fer was made in 1990,
but that's about it. What really got me was that
although they seemingly couldn't tell me much about
the instrument, both stores were quick to make me an
offer for it. Since I don't know what the model is, I
don't know what a fair asking price would be, so I
haven't sold it yet. Interestingly enough, a customer
in one of the stores told me about this mailing list,
so I figured I'd give it a shot. Any info would be
helpful. Thanks. Erin Kvande
