Jeremy,

I'll second the sentiment that Tomoji at WW&BW would
be a good choice. He DOES have a waiting list,
sometimes as long as a month or more for overhauls,
and has other people doing work in the shop (contract)
also. I can't vouch for the others' clarinet work, but
I'm sure it would be adequate for minor work like a
partial overhaul. Ko is one of the other people at
WW&BW, and actually does work with Guy Chadash on his
handmade clarinets, so I am sure he would be a good
choice for overhaul type work too. All of the guys at
WW&BW are pretty busy too, by the way.

Another option would be Guy Chadash, who has an office
up near Port Authority. He is the person behind the
Chadash (Buffet) clarinet barrels and his own line of
clarinets. He does overhauls too, and is excellent. I
would say you have to ask what he would charge for a
partial overhaul, and what his time frame is. He is
very fast, and absolutely accurate with the work, so
the time frame would be easier that Tomoji or Ko, who
have to repair all brass and woodwind instruments, not
just clarinets.

His website (with shop number and address) is
http://www.chadashclarinet.com/

He'd be a good person to get to know in NYC anyway.
