I'd forgotten about those experiments! That's hilarious. I remember being
stuck in a pitch dark room, completely sound-proofed (talk about dead acoustics),
a series of buttons at my fingertips. The acoustics had nothing to with the
experiment in this case. Images would flash on a screen, and I was supposed
to press the buttons based on my emotional reaction to the images or something.
I think they gave me twenty bucks for that. Considering how poor I was, those
psych student studies were a gold mine!

And good riddance to them. I remember arriving for ear training classes with
an enormous headache, those buses were such terrible rattle traps. They must
have been manufactured before the invention of struts! :-)
