Au contraire. There once were quality metal clarinets available.
Unfortunately there were too many student grade ones and downright junk
grade ones around so the bad reputation developed by these was applied
across the board. I've got a couple of metal Noblets that are quite nice.
They are far and away much nicer than an old wooden PanAmerican that I once
had.
