Ahh, some humor on the list! Actually the filing part is quite serious.
I,like many of us, have many different ligatures I switch between.
However the two modified Bonades, especially the one with the completely
flattened rails, get the most playing time. The stock Bonades have bent
rails (either by design or accident) and they do not actually touch the
reed except at the ends. It is a cheap experiment and frankly I like
either modification over the stock.

The two suggestions are serious, while the practice dig was tongue in
cheek...sort of. If we practiced more and messed with equipment less,
maybe a majority of differences would even out.

Remember I finished teaching the semester on Friday and am up to my side
G# key in papers to grade!

This message is a paper grading break!
