I have both the BG Super Revelation and the Eddie Daniels Rovner.

I have found for my setup that the Peter Spriggs Floating Rails is even
better than the other two. It is my feeling that the Floating Rails allows
even more vibration from the reed than either of the other two. I also feel
that I get better articulation from the Spriggs.

As always, it is best to try them out and make up your own mind as each
person's setup is unique.

I bought all three more or less at the same time and compared them for a
while and finally settled on the Spriggs.

The Spriggs ligature is harder to find than the BG's and Rovner's, and I had
to order one and wait for it to be made. The precision of manufacture of
this ligature is amazing. It looks rather delicate, but the truth is it is
made extremely well and is quite durable. I have dropped mine a couple of
times on the floor without any apparent damage such as bending. Usually on
soft metals such as gold plated brass this would not be possible.

Granted, the Floating Rails does cost more than the BG and the Eddie
Daniels.

If anyone needs a BG Super Revelation or an Eddie Daniels Rovner, let me
know off list. They are basically brand new and I would like to find a good
home for them.

Jay Webler stated: << I have recently acquired the BG Super Revelation and
found it to be an excellent ligature. It's a little cheaper than the Eddie
Daniels. Although, I thought the Eddie Daniels was very good.
