Yes. What I was getting at was that these things get 'transparent'
after a bit, because they're 'tools'.

Consider: you don't rave about your *hand*. Now, there's something
worth raving about, if you think about it.

In the case of clarinet equipment, you also come to see that you never
gain something but you lose something, so the joy of having one want
satisfied is always moderated by the surfacing of another.

Going back to the 'hand' analogy -- we do like to rave about *other
people's* body parts, I grant you. But that's one of the deeper joys
and mysteries of life:-)
