Thank you, not only for the good advice, but also for helping me stifle
my momentary and probably unwise impulse. <grin> I remember playing
a few notes on a larger whistle --- I think it was in G --- and I
remember the same stretch.

....anyway, now I have an excuse to (someday) take a mini-holiday in
Mendocino, and I can wait until then.
