Lola,

A little know fact is that the primary reason she was hired by the Berlin
Philharmonic is that she is the illegitimate daughter of American wiener
king, Oscar Mayer, who made a major anonymous gift to endow a clarinet chair
with the orchestra. However, in accepting the gift, the Berlin Phil
stipulated in that she change the spelling of her last name to avoid all
possible connections with the donor, an amateur clarinetist, who played a
Boehm system Buffet R-13. Good luck on your research.

p.s. If you want a real challenge, research her "real" relationship to
Wolfgang.

p.p.s. David Naden is also an expert on Sabine. You might want to contact
him, too.
