The system used in Germany is Oehler, and is based upon the Albert system,
but has been substantially modified and improved. There is also a Reform
Boehm system, which I don't believe I have ever actually seen, which I
surmise splits the difference between Oehler and Boehm to some
degree. There are also other variants of Boehm, such as McIntyre (sp?),
but that gets into esoterica.

Pretty much all Albert system clarinets are large-bore instruments. Some
jazz players prefer them for the sound and flexibility that bore design
provides.
