How many and what are the names of fingering systems? How do they
differ?

Boehm is by far the most popular. Most likely your clarinet is Boehm.
The Albert system is still used in some European orchestras. I think
(not sure) that a few German orchestras require it.

Historically Albert preceeded the Boehm system. (and now I know that
it's used in Turkey as well).

I've never played an Albert system, and I have no idea what (if any?)
its advantages are, other than tradition.

If you want to compare pictures of the two systems, there are good
drawings in Rubank "Elementary Method - Clarinet."

Cheers,
Bill
