In the El Paso Symphony, we play at A=442, El Paso Opera and Las Cruces
Symphony at A@-----. Our
conductor with EPSO, Gurer Aykal, can certainly hear the difference between
the two.
When we toured Germany with the EPSO a few years ago, the piano tuners all
wanted to tune the piano to A=444 or 445 and had to be talked into tuning
down to 440.
