I have experienced that as well and like the others said, I really didn't=

know that there was anything I could do about it, so I just moved on. Ho=
wever,
one thing I do want to share which is a similar practice called "shill"
bidding or something like that. It is when you bid on an item and obvious=
ly
you are a serious bidder so maybe you get outbid a few times then rebid,
etc. Well what happened to me with a clarinet I purchased was that in th=
e
last couple minutes of the auction, someone out bid me, I re-bid, then wa=
s
outbid again, I re-bid and then in the last minute, I won the auction.
Not 5 minutes after the end of the auction, the seller was harrassing me
for the payment. Well this made me suspcisious because usually you have
5-7 days to make a payment arrangement. So I did research on the person
who was outbidding me and found out that the person had literally JUST si=
gned
before bidding on that item. So I sent a message to eBay to research it
and it turned out that the IP address of the registrant, matched the same=

as the seller. So in the end, I got the clarinet about $600 less than th=
e
original win price, and the seller was banned from eBay, but just be care=
ful
if you notice that happening as well.
