My first suggestion would be to ask a professional in your area to try your clarinet (and
mouthpiece) to see whether he/she gets the same result. If that is not possible, try some different
barrels. If none of them solves the problem, try some other mouthpieces. At the end of that
exercise you may either be completely confused or have a better idea of the cause of the problem.
