Barb,

Try raising your tongue and playing notes with "cold"
air. Play your notes with expressed with voicing in
the "the" position instead of an "o" position. Don't
bite on the mpc. I forgot why this works, but I read
it somewhere. Maybe other more experienced players
could refute or validate my suggestion.
