I've found the Rubank beginner book to be great for adult beginners. I also
use it for students who need extra material before they can move on. (Rubank
has unrecognizable melodies they don't get in the other books). Other than
that, I like the kiddie books with lots of short songs. Well, *I* don't like
them, but they work better at keeping interest, which is what it's all about.
