But if somebody came to you with a Rossi clarinet, you could work with them
to produce a custom barrel for them?

I know that clarinets have personalities, just like computers, but I
doubt they really care what barrel you use when you play them. There's
no such thing, in terms of relevance, as a barrel that is better match-
ed to a particular clarinet than any other, because better or worse
is determined by the player's opinion, not the instrument. There are
as many different opinions on better vs. worse as there are players
on the planet. Hence, the need for choice.
