Jay,

When playing in excessive heat, pitch cannot stay at 440.
Those who insist on tuning to a tuner or pitch set at 440 are
foolish and will create more problems than they solve. As a
general rule, allow the pitch to rise one vibration per second
(from 440 to 441) for every three degree Fahrenheit, starting
at about 70 degrees. The largest instruments are effected most
by ambient heat and least by the players, body heated air
temperature.
