My point wasn't that cases were available or not, but that I can't imagine
selling an instrument without a case. I know and understand why high-end
strings aren't sold with cases. But at least with a violin, for example,
there is more than one case design available to use with the instrument.
There are no other cases available for Rossi clarinets. If I was spending
money on a clarinet of that caliber, I would want a case to go with it as
part of the deal, if for no other reason than to ship it for repairs and the
like. When I bought my (4) Patricolas, I got a case with each one. I don't
carry four separate cases when I play - I put however many I am playing in
one case. But when one needs to be repaired or have some kind of
customization done, at least I have something to safely ship it in. And I
won't have to carry the others around in bubble wrap and a canvas bag while
I wait for the repairs to be completed.

Cases are advertised on the Rossi website. Perhaps this instrument arrived
through Unorthodox Channels.
