Hello Neil,

I specialise in custom made barrels and bells and have made a number for
Rossi Clarinets. The players are professionals who have chosen something
other than the original barrels for a variety of reasons. Let me say that
Luis Rossi is a fine artisan who does excellent work.

When making barrels for Rossi Clarinets I use different internal and external
dimensions than I would on most other makes. I do not use metal rings on any
barrel for Rossi clarinets. (frankly I think that every barrel plays
noticeably better WITHOUT metal rings) You should also be aware that Rossi
offers different bore designs in his instruments and the barrel will need to
be designed with that in mind.
