Oh I agree with you that the characteristics of an A clarinet are
markedly different from that of a B-flat clarinet, and that adds another
dimension to the problem. The heart that I was trying to drive a stake
through was the one suggesting that A major had a particular emotion
associated with it, and that every other key had its own identifiable
emotion as well.
