Some people feel that 'tone color' varies between instruments that are
in the same family but have different tunings. This is a separate
issue from temperament, but (probably) it can't be ignored.

...........and I'm very sorry for saying a couple of months ago (when
discussing temperament and tuners) that two major thirds = a major
triad, and other foolish things. I was assaulted by unhappy events in
my own life, and I sort of lost my rationality......
