According to Lawson, it has been issued: NMA Kritischer Bericht V/14/4
(Cassel, 1982). (I haven't read it, BTW.)

No, I know that, Dan. But surely, the sources are: the first edition,
the Winterthur manuscript and the AMZ article. Neither of the first two
contains slurs taken out in NMA.

It's only *after* that that they started to have a field day.

Well, I understand *that*. But couldn't the editor just have
photocopied the first edition in this case, so that the alterations were
minor?
