Actually, Dan is is miffed because he had been practicing night and day for
an upcoming international basset horn competition when he learned that
Ripamonte (1) plans to underwrite the competition, (2) will be supplying the
instruments to ensure a level playing field, and (3) have specificially
forbidden Canadian made rosewood instruments with gold-plated keys.
