I had a similar problem with my Leblanc Infinite a few months ago,
during a pit orchestra gig. I had been playing it for about two hours
at that point. The clarinet was never horizontal, as it was on its
stand when I wasn't playing it. I'd never experienced the problem
before, and I haven't had the problem since.

I tried swabbing the clarinet out and individually drying the pads, and
still nothing. Traded reeds, mouthpieces, ligatures, did as much leak
testing as I could in a somewhat exposed pit, and it was a no-go.
Luckily, all my "solo" work was done for the show, and I could cover
whatever exposed sections were needed by a little judicious juggling of
alto and tenor sax and flute, but it was very odd. I'd had the clarinet
serviced about five weeks before by a technician who has worked on my
instruments a number of times - the springs and pads were good, and the
clarinet appeared to be well-adjusted (probably more so than its
player!).

Just as in Michael's and Janis's cases, the next day the clarinet was
just fine, and I haven't experienced the trouble since.

I tried the clarinets later that night and they were fine! The weird
thing is that is was both my a and b flat clarinets. I did have my
clarinets lying down too and I think the room was a bit cold so perhaps
it was a moisture problem. Such temperamental things!
