Subj: [kl] articulated C#/G#

On the Patricola clarinets, the articulated C#/G#
(which is on certain models) can be turned on and off
by an adjustment screw to allow for the long F. I
usually have mine "off" but occasionally do have
passages where I want to turn it back "on." Not
something you could do in 30 seconds in a rest in the
music, but 2 or 3 minutes for the adjustment is plenty
of time. You also might want to toot on the clarinet
after the adjustment just to make sure the pad closes
fully again. Rather seamless in the transition.
