I thought of that, but the R13's didn't seem that much different.

It's as if I could feel a higher air pressure through the tone holes and
thus the annoying 'popping'.

I atribute this to a different bore and tone hole design. One where the
clarinet plays with a higher degree of resistance and maybe a higher
pressure flow of air.

I have no way to test this theory. If it is true that may explain why my
Festival which blows more freely with less resistance would be easier to
play without the pop.

Just a theory. Curious if anyone else has ever noticed a similar thing.
