On the other hand, as I sit in the community band playing my plastic Vito
clarinet with rubber Portnoy mouthpiece, metal ligature, and plastic Legere
reed, it strikes me that "woodwind" is not a very good adjective for me,
either. There's not a piece of wood from lip to bell.
