I guess somehow I didn't explain well enough the 1st time.

klarinet@-----. It has not
changed. As far as I can foresee it won't change. There's no plans to drop
this list - in fact, I'd like to see this list at least triple in size.
There is currently no plans at all to create a generic "woodwind" list. If
there were a generic woodwind list I'm sure we could all come up with a less
exclusionary name than 'klarinet', too ...

The web site formerly known as 'www.sneezy.org' is now known as
'www.woodwind.org'. The scope may broaden over time to be inclusionary of
all woodwinds (and horns). It will hopefully become a 501(c)(3) non-profit
organization:

"An organization formed to further the appreciation, instruction,
development, and performance of all forms of woodwind music, utilizing both
traditional and non-traditional means of communication, recording, and
distribution."

(the above is only the 1st cut at a purpose. It is not the final.)

Anything _not_ specified on a 501(c)(3) application is specifically
disallowed as a non-profit part of the activity; therefore everyone
carefully crafts statements that are general enough to get the 501(c)(3)
ruling and appeal to a broad range of philanthropic institutions, without
being so broad that the ruling is disallowed or so narrow that you end up
being limited to a very few philanthropic institutions.

There are 5 board members to help with the formation of ideas, direction,
fund raising, etc. They are (with a very short description):

Forest Aten, clarinet instructor at the University of Texas, Commerce, core
member of the Dallas Opera Orchestra
Daniel Leeson, internationally recognized Mozart scholar
Thomas Piercy, artistic director and clarinetist of the Gotham Ensemble,
NYC.
Stacy-Michelle Valentine, Degrees in arts management and music performance,
experience in non-profit organizational requirements
Mark Charette, Internet connectivity, computer infrastructure /
implementation

The old sneezy.org URLs will work - they get re-written on-the-fly to the
new woodwind.org address.

Mark C.
