Well, that's just what's so insidious about it. On a woodwind quintet
discussion board I've been spying on, *they've* been talking about the
*clarinet* being an important part of the *woodwind quintet* repertoire. All
this despite the clarinet not being first on the score order, which I think
is something that ought to be looked into.

Then there's the fact that they include a french horn, which is actually a
*brass* instrument, something I don't think any of us should stick at any
price.

No, clarinet choirs are the only way to go. I admit that I've been dabbling
in saxophone for years, but all this talk has made me reconsider. I'd sell
them, but that would just be leading someone else astray. Death to all other
instruments. Fire your pianist. Let's keep clarinet music pure for
clarinetists.
