David Glenn asked about sharing responses to the
entire list; aside from one private email admitting
that slaptonguing has eluded that writer as well there
hasn't been much reaction yet. I think I asked a few
years ago and there was little reply then as well; but
I wonder if this technique is that rareified; at a
high school clinic last fall I heard a beginner who
could ONLY slaptongue! But of course she had no idea
what she was doing. We did manage to get her started
on non-slap articulation but I remain hopeful that
some other "natural" slap-tonguer will respond with
some ideas!

Played Enigma Variations last night; man that slow
variation with the ppp clarinet solos before the
Finale is great!
