Neglected dental problems can easily turn into life-threatening infections.

Dental care should certainly be of higher priority than the purchase of a fancy
bass clarinet. Unless it is defective, a plastic bass clarinet will not be a
hindrance to your education. CAN$10,000 is actually about US$6,300; that will
buy you routine dental care for 15 years.

You will have many instruments over your life. You only get one set of adult
teeth.
