Hello List (and in particular Bass Clarinetists),
I am writing to ask a fairly vague question regarding a particular
passage in the Bass Clarinet part of 'Rapsodie Espagnole' by Maurice Ravel.
The passage concerned is in the fourth movement (Feria) and is four bars
before figure 10, well at least in my edition (Durand) it is. The main
problem for me is the leap from 'throat' A up to A above stave (first A) and
back to the D, I can't seem to be play it cleanly enough at the speed asked
of me and although it is covered by other instruments I would still like to
be able to play it well.
Although I know I can still practise it more to gain
accuracy I would like to know if there are any special fingerings, fake or
true that could help me to play this passage better.

Thankyou for bearing with me..
Ben
