A 'Robert' 'A' clarinet #3248 just came across my workbench that has had
the low F and E tone holes cut down, method I know not, and shelac used
inside the upper edge of the tone hole to lower the pitch. These both
need new pads. The new pads will contact only on each side but not in
the back or the front (at least 1 mm leak). The key cups are level. If
I try to cut down the tone hole any more there will not be any raised
area for the pad to seat against. Any suggestions?
