Hi Amy,
I'm not sure of your age, but many young people like me watched t.v. before
reading a book and therefore are visual learners. If you are one of us then
a really good way to memorize is to visualize the music on the page. If
this doesn't work playing the piece very slowly a few times in a row helps
me out, too.
