Of course Steve Hartman is absolutely right about learning this transposition
as well (up a minor third). I didn't mention it because I could not think of
the last time that I used it. I didn't want to make learning to transpose
seem quite so daunting, I guess.

Steve's playing is on a very 'premium' level, of course (those of you who
haven't already should buy his Crussell recording on the Centaur label). He
too knows a lot abot c clarinet parts, long hours at work and plenty of other
important things.
