Jim,

You might contact an oboe maker for that, since the
oboe has a mechanism for that on the right side. Paul
Covey Oboes does a great job on customizing oboes, and
might take the work for a clarinet key addition. They
at least would already have mechanisms there for oboe
that might be able to be adapted to the instrument for
less time and money. If he asks what key, it is the
banana key for the right hand G# for oboe (or maybe
even an english horn key would work, since it is
larger and longer!)
