Don,

G. Leblanc Corp. lists Noblet instruments as
intermediate clarinets, and prices them as such. I was
making a comment on pricing not on how you or others
like the instrument.

Buffet also has an E11 C clarinet that many people
like, and use professionally. It is still not
described by Buffet as a professional instrument.

Try reselling a used Noblet to someone looking for a
professional instrument. You won't have many bites, as
most people do not consider Noblet a professional
instrument line. This says NOTHING about whether they
actually USE them professionally, nor does it say
whether they LIKE playing the instrument or not. Lots
of people play Noblet instruments. I've also seen
people using Vito clarinets for outdoor playing gigs,
and they sounded ok, although that is more on the
extreme of the scenario I am describing. All I am
saying is call the instrument what it is. An
intermediate C clarinet, such as the Noblet C
clarinet, can be a steal for under $1500, while a
Buffet Prestige and Leblanc Opus, although appreciably
better instruments, are around $3500.
