When I was 13 years old in 1973 I got a brand new LeBlanc L7 clarinet for
Christmas. This was the clarinet that all the band directors in my area
recommended at the time. I was told that it was a professional model
clarinet, and I believe at that time it cost around $700. I know that they
don't make this particular model anymore, but I was wondering if anyone
could tell me anything about it. Is it a top professional clarinet? When
did they stop making it? Why did they stop making it? And, what model is it
comparable to now? I still have it and play it pretty often. It's been a
very good instrument. Thanks for your input.
