I have an LP on the Hungaroton label of "A Hungarian Rhapsody for Two
Clarinets and Orchestra" by Szolt Durko. The notes are short, but Durko was
born in 1934 and studied with Ferenc Farkas and Goffredo Petrassi. The work
is in 6 short movements and lasts perhaps 15 minutes. It is clearly modern,
but not of what I call the "beep and squeak" school. It seemed to bring
Bartok to mind, but not necessarily very clearly.

It is published by Editio Musica, Budapest, with score, pocket score and 2
clarinet parts available. Orchestral parts are available for hire.
