"Nanny goat vibrato?" Apparently, you have been listening to Sidney
Bechet. He is not necessarily representative of the best sound a soprano
sax can make, although as a jazz improvisor he was one of the few who could
keep up with Louis Armstrong. Sidney did start out as a clarinetist, you know.
