Luby, Those black reeds are probably Rico "Plasticover" and I played
them for years. I liked them (at the time) better than (I can't remember
the name of those synthetic reeds everybody knows about. I had better
remember, because I will need one this summer for outdoor gigs.)
LEGERE. That's it. The day after I met Jon Manasse in person, here in
Colorado Springs, at the Colorado College music festival, I threw out my
Plasticovers and switched back to cane reeds. I also like the Rico GC
Evolutions, but have recently switched to Gonzalez and Mozart Reeds
ordered from the Davie Cane Co. ANNIE
