I guess my little Alto is bassakwards. Its find from the low Eb to the
High C# .. the D, E, Eb, F and G just doesn't speak at all.. they squeak.
In all the other clarinets (Bass, Bb,Contra) I'm able to play up and down
the full register, the Alto.. its... EVIL! :)

I do play bass Clarinet , yes, about an hour and a half every day. Though
I have never had to mess with that little tone hole thing. It's not
physically plugged, I usually just cover it with my index finger.
