Hey! If she is one of those trained opera "singers" with a nice wide
vibrato, why not just take a work for clarinet and viola (w/piano) and have
her sing the viola part in solfege?! If you find an audience who doesn't
frequent opera houses too often and who are used to translating "opera" into
intelligible language, they would not know the difference! And
boy...wouldn't she be a virtuoso?!

[Note: I am kidding. I have actually heard true professional opera singers
make an effort to sing "words" that can actually be understood. I'm
currently in a setting where many young people (19 to 22) have not realized
that stage yet. Puns intended.]
