I suppose you could play it on the A clarinet, or even the bassethorn,
and transpose the piano part, which is not after all technically
demanding. I'm sure there's no edition.

Transposing the clarinet part would damage the piece too much. Because
you need the low F, the best you could do would be a whole tone, and
you'd be playing in B major on the A clarinet. Not nice.

The bassethorn puts it down a fourth. Anyone tried that?
