Funny thing. On a rainy day, while getting ready for work, I tend to think
about unresolved (and unresolvable ) issues: politics, religion, the
perfect clarinettist and the perfect clarinet.
You are correct, David. Well said. Almost any clarinet (in good repair)
can be played well by a good player or played less well by a lesser
player. There are so many variables. I know that - while I would like to
find the perfect clarinet for all time - it isn't likely to happen. What
I want and expect is an instrument that does not get in the way of my aural
"vision." I have to do the rest.
